The Paul Tonberg Shield, Ardersier Folk Festival, 2024 Song Competition.

Could you write a winning song for Ardersier Folk Festival 2024? Our competition is open to all.

To enter, submit your original song as an MP3 file to info@ardersierfolkclub.org.uk between 10th June and 31st July.

Three songs will be chosen by the Festival organisers to feature in a concert on Sun Sept 15th. The overall winner will be chosen on the day by the concert headliner.
The winner will receive the Paul Tonberg Shield, a modest cash prize, a twenty minute slot at the 2025 Closing Concert and, of course, the glory!

Further Guidance for Entrants

1) Entries should be about 3-4 minutes duration (maximum of 5 minutes)
2) Each entrant may submit one original song: all topics and styles of song will be considered
3) Submissions received before June 10th or after July 31st will not be considered
4) Submissions should be sent to: info@ardersierfolkclub.org.uk.
Please include:
a. An MP3 file of your song;
b. Full contact details (name of entrant, mailing address, e-mail address and phone number
)
5) The song should be performed solo, or as a duo. Larger bands cannot be accommodated for logistical reasons
6) The winner will receive the Paul Tonberg Shield, a cash prize of £100 and a slot at the 2025 Festival Closing Concert
7) The judges' decisions will be final.

Conditions of Entry

1) Ardersier Folk Club does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. The audio files will be deleted from the Ardersier Folk Club system after the competition.
2) Each song submitted should be an original work. Submission releases Ardersier Folk Club from all liability.
3) Entry also constitutes permission to use entrants' names and photos for future advertising and publicity.
